Electric Velux shutter not responding
Start with the basics: remote batteries, power switch and, on solar models, whether the panel has had no sun for days. If the motor hums but nothing moves, it is usually the end stop or the motor itself.
Manual Velux blind or shutter jammed
On cord models the usual fault is a frayed cord, a cord off the pulley or a bent side rail. Forcing it tends to tear the fabric or a slat.
